Due to the increase in insurances we accept, please do not expect us to know whether your insurance requires you to have referrals. It is the responsibility of the insured to know and understand their individual plan policies regarding referrals. If your plan does require referrals, three business days are required for non-emergent referrals; otherwise your appointment may need to be rescheduled. We cannot honor walk-in referral requests unless it is a true emergency.

We need 48 hours to process a referral and 72 hours to process a pre-certification. When leaving a message for a referral, be sure to leave the date and time of appointment, the specialist’s provider name and ID# and diagnosis.
Please be aware that some insurance companies do not allow us to authorize a retroactive referral.
Required information for referrals includes:
- The date and time of your appointment
- The name of the specialist and their Provider Identification #
- Diagnosis and/or diagnosis code
- Address, phone # and name of office in which child is to be seen
